Earthquake and Credit Cards

Okay I'm sitting here in front of my laptop, doing some stuff for work, as usual, when all of a sudden, my table sways and my chair rocks violently for a few seconds. At first I thought the wall was just being pushed by someone from the other side ^{my station is right next to the wall which separates our office from the other office in the same floor} and that I was just rocking my own chair, until our other officemates started saying "lindoool" ^{tagalog word for earthquake}. Rocking my own chair? Okay I guess not then.

I'm scared of earthquakes. I'm scared it'll turn out to be like a page in Revelations. :S *wipes sweat off brows*

Anyway...on to another topic...

I cut ties with my 4 dear credit cards and have resolved to save up and just use cash for emergencies and fashion can be an emergency, right?. Then I realize...wait, how about my Deviant Art Subscription and other online subscriptions? Bummer. Okay then I'll just go look for a friend who's willing to let me use their cards while I pay them in cash. better, right? It's like getting a cash advance without the cash advance fee! Right!

WANTED: GRAPHIC ARTIST

I was reluctant to leave my laptop in the office last Friday for fear of having a ton of workload to finish at the start of a new week. I checked my list and there it was in bold red letters: To Do! and below it, a number of job orders to be finished, each listed with a box to the left, for me to tick off when I'm done. And then I count those that have been submitted and approved...3! 3 measly projects!! I proceed to count the rest I have to do...and there are 20 more!*faints* We need an artist badly!

So If you're interested, we're looking for someone (preferrably a grad of Fine Arts)
• who knows how to fidget with Photoshop CS2 and InDesign
• has no problem with an extended work week (meaning Mon-Fri 8-6 instead of the usual Mon-Sat 9-5)
• doesn't mind being art directed from time to time
• and doesn't mind working in a corporate setting.

glico pocky from japan comes in a cute white box and packed in little 5-pc portions inside. the wrappers are so cute! strawberry hearts! yum!

I'm back to my strawberry pocky addiction which includes other strawberry snacks such as Yanyan and Hello Panda and I still insist on calling them Pocky. I bought a lot of Pocky (Thai) from Rustan's yesterday. They're cheaper than the ones from Japan but I'd have to say Japanpocky tastes better looks better too!


this one's from Thailand. it's got a thinner strawberry coating than the one from Japan, but it's 1/4 the price.

I bought about 5 of these yesterday, and when I was eating at Gateway foodcourt (because I just love Jumbo Japs) and saw this little girl in pink, with cute pigtails and she was looking at me with bewildered eyes. Maybe my bangs make me look like a cartoon or something. I waved at her and she waved back! I couldn't resist walking up to her mom and asking if it's okay to talk to her daughter. Luckily, she wasn't weired out or anything.

I gave her a box of the Pocky I just bought and after thanking me, she asked for my name!!


Boo:^{in a very cute voice} thank you. I want to know your name
Me: My name's Crystal ^{okay before you tell me i have a lot of nicknames, this one's special because it's the nick my mom gave me}. What's your's?
Boo: Bea.

And then I asked for a kiss and she gave me one!



She looked so much like Boo from Monsters Inc..too bad I didn't get a picture.

I rescued my friend last Saturday. I was her bandaid. And am glad to be one for her. We spent the day together, eating country breakfast at Pancake House and lots of Ramen at Galleria.

My college classmates dropped by this weekend (wendy, , and joseph) It was so sweet of them to go out of their way. Lee and I made dinner for them. We were supposed to play a round of DOTA after eating but the shop was about to close so...next time.
