Oh my word, I don't believe in Friday the 13th being bad luck, but this morning, it bit me in the ass real hard!!! ^{and I still don't believe in it.}

Today was supposed to be the beginning of one fun weekend with 3 friends and my little godson. We're supposed to check in at a classy hotel to bond and hang out tonight after work so I packed my stuff, placed them on the dining table and went out back to get some plastic in case I needed any. After I got what I needed, I realized I had locked myself out of my own effing house!!!

My keys and cellphone were inside!!

I rang the bell twice but I knew it would take a lot more to wake my brother up since he only got in at around 4am. So I took the mop that was propped near the window, unscrewed the mophead off it's stick, and used the stick to fish for my very heavy bag through the window ^{which, by the way, was a pain to pick through}.

After a few excruciatingly painful, failed attempts, I finally got hold of my bag's strap and fished my keys out of its pocket! I didn't actually have keys to the back door. Our house help had it with her and she wasn't home. Good thing our gate key fit almost perfectly, in a McGuyverish way, or else I'd be stuck outside and I'd be really late for work!

Now I'm covered in window grime and gloriously decorated with scratches I got from the screen. Thank God I still smell ^{and look} like a human being!

Okay, the Toy Con is in 2 days and I’ve finally persuaded obarro-kun to come with me. I wanted Ecky to tag along too but he didn’t want to be a “third wheel”. What’s with this third wheel thing? We don’t act all smoochy in public anyways so there’s no reason to feel left out or anything. We’ll probably be too busy looking at merchandise and clicking away. *^{Ecky. If you change your mind…you know my number! You’ve got to come!!!}*

Good thing this year’s Toy Con’s scheduled right after payday, so I could probably afford some of the stuff I wanted to buy last year. And I’m also looking forward to the PS3 gaming demos of Devil May Cry 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4. There are also a lot of contests we should be looking out for. There’s the Toy photography contest, Cosplay photography contest, Batman Dark Knight fan art contest, Name that toon kids’ contest *^{oh shoot me for being such a kid and enjoying this sort of thing.}* Lego contests, Voice acting and dubbing contests, Lineage Kamael dance contest, Diorama scale model contest, Stikfas customized figure contest, Toy designer contest, Transformers high speed contest *^{what exactly is a high speed contest? should be fun and…fast I think. halp! floor ees lava!}*, 2nd Game Girl contest, and of course *^drumroll* the individual and group cosplay . I’m sure a lot of people are looking forward to see their favorite cosplayers and their favorite characters cosplayed. Lots of contests equals lots of prizes! There are also prizes for con-goers during the raffle. I really hope to get a goodie bag through that at least.

Is anyone going to the Toy Con? Maybe we could “bump into each other” *^{[or plan to bump into each other}*. I can’t wait! Send me a note if you’re dropping by the con! Let’s meet up and have pictures taken like the geeks that we are! Har har har geek much!

I’m hoping to be able to stay long for both days. I hope obarro-kun finds something he'd love to watch or do or something and begs me not to leave early. And for that, I plan to reward him…with a cake! I love cake!
