This is one of my 5 Otaku Senshis.
She is Sailor Mayumi. Obviously a Philippine-inspired senshi. because I AM from the Philippines.
Anyway, her brooch carries the symbol of our flag (one sun, 3 stars which symbolizes the unity of Luzon, Vizayas and Mindanao). Her see-thru sleeves are patterned after the traditional Maria Clara costume. her belt is taken from Darna's costume design (Darna is a Philippine coomicbook heroine) and underneath her mini senshi skirt is a translucent chiffon layer. This symbolizes the conservative sidde of the Filipinas. She carries a fan and embroidered handkerchief (they a re deadly, mind you). And her boots are inspired by the traditional BAKYA (wooden slippers). Her choker is kind of like a victorian choker. the ones worn by spanish women.
