Artist's Comments

This is an advanced birthday gift for a friend of mine (who's having her birthday on the 12th of September).

You know who you are. ;) (tee hee) Advanced Happy Birthday. Thanks for teaching me the basics of Photoshop. I could never have learned if not for you. :)

==
• Chobits © Clamp (I think)
• Character reference (pose and outfit) from *Lisajen-stock
• Done in Photoshop CS2, inked in Open Canvas 4e

Edit Thanks for all your comments on this one. For those who keep commenting on how lovely the pose and dress is, credit shouldn't be directed at me. I have *Lisajen-stock to thank for that. :)

Edit 2: 082908 Thanks for still adding this to your favorites even if it's been up for so long. I edited it, by the way. Added more definition to her hands and made the color a bit natural. The first one was a bit to reddish for my taste. Also, you can notice a bit more shadow definitions all over, mostly on her face. Made her nose stand out a bit. If you still want to see the original file, you can see it here>>[link] [link]

Daily Deviation

Given 2008-03-26

You know how you can just browse deviantART for hours and then find a piece that really pulls at you for some reason or another? Chobits by =ladyfish did that for me. The piece is so charming and carries a finished-yet-incomplete quality that makes it feel incredibly delicate-- as if the artist captured a precious moment in time. (Featured by ^ArtisticAunJuli)

oh wow. that's amazing! i have an indie graphic novel (only on the 3rd ish...currently on hold) entitled Alibata just because it's the ancient writings of the Filipinos, but it really has nothing to do with my story hehehe. Though some of the markings on the body of some of my characters will be alibata characters. ;)

Wow, it's amazing how you can proficiently read and write alibata! idol!!!
