I know I have NO RIGHT to post a step-by-step guide in coloring, since I'm not too good at it, need more practice, and am a disgrace to those who have the right to post tutorials. So, in advance, please forgive me. hehehehehe.
Anyway, the light source is my problem, maybe. I just love light and shade but just don't know if I'm doing it right. Anyway, here goes.
How I color PART I (i hope magawa ko yung part 2...3 etc.)
Step 1: I clean the artwork. (duuh hahahahaha)...I suck at making step-by-step guides. Step 2: I select area to be colored (in this case, the skin area) and fill in with flat skin tone. (^_^)v Step 3: I do what I like to call a "shade guide"...where I use a rough-edge brush and shade the area--which I think needs shading...am I making sense???...why not a smoth brush? I don't know. maybe you could dop that too...but I just like seeing the brush strokes hehehe. Step 4: I do a more defined shading...(the skin is yellowish...cuz i like it that way...(^_^) you can use flesh tones if you're the pinkish skin type....) Step 5: I choose a dark shade and do shading details, plus a little bit of highlighting... Step 6: Details. Sometimes it becomes too detailed, it looks wrong hehehehe. Like her collar bone. looks like she hasn't eaten for days... I guess that's just my style. Too extreme. Highlights are extremely light and shades are extremely dark. (^_^) Finally.....I give her lips a shade of reddish-orange (just to match her skin tone...but if you want it pinkish...or BLACK...heck, go ahead! hehehee)
awww...it's back to work for me so I'll continue coloring this piece some other time. (^_^)v
